Good morning. Today is the first day of the Sardinia Rolex Cup 2008. The weather this morning is somewhat variable with rain showers in the area and an unstable wind. The Race Committee has hoisted the ‘AP’ ashore indicating to the teams that they should remain in the harbor. The Race Committee has proceeded to the race area to check the conditions and will make a decision how to proceed from that point.

The Sardinia Rolex Cup is the ISAF Offshore Team World Championship. This year, five teams are participating; each team consists of three boats, a TP 52, Swan 45 and Farr 40. All boats start at once and the results are calculated by adding the combined scores of the three boats on each team.
